Marriage

Marriage is a beautiful event of the human’s life. Before marriage, people have to meet their partner. He or she needs to know him or her. Before marriage, it is important to look for personality, values, religion and other aspects that help to have a good relationship in a couple. Usually, the boy must love the girl; he must be romantic and show that he is in love to women. Many couples have divorced because they have differences or someone has a quirk. To prevent divorce, couples can make a prenuptial agreement to delimit all things that they don´t want in their marriage. We have to choose the best partner for us because marriage isn´t an easy work. It needs responsibility, honesty, fidelity and a big commitment with the other person.

Simple life

Right now, the world is in a technological process. People use internet looking for information, play games and communicate with friends. Car companies produce a lot of vehicles that people use to travel. Houses spend electricity, water and other services. All is part of globalization and some activities affect the environment, but we can have a simple life. It’s about people that change some of these things, for example use candles at night and don´t use electricity, do the laundry with your hands, make activities as play together outdoor, travel using bicycles or walking. Some advantages are that you can live with a little money and save it and help the environment.

Storytelling

Storytelling is the art to tell stories using change of voice, talking faster and louder, using gestures and dialogue with different characters. Usually, people tell stories to children and sometimes adults, but children are the audience that most like it. Storytelling involves fantasy, magic and unbelievable events. Nowadays, children prefer looking for other distraction, as internet, video games and see movies. Technology is changing activities that are part of the culture and values. People have to revive these activities in our neighborhood and society because this is part of our identity and keeps our values.

Tourism

What is an excellent activity to do during vacations? Traveling and meeting other places is a good idea. When you go to another place, you learn about cultures, traditions and language of the countries. You need to know about the place and some important points about the place because if don´t know probably you are going to get lost. Maybe, look for information to know if it is a dangerous place. Some positive aspects of tourism is that they can help people and make money for the country, but tourism can destroy the environment and harm people. To go to another country we have to respect the people and their traditions to have a good time in a different country.

Language

The language is part of our education. Our parents taught us how to speak, and we always speak the same than our parents. Maybe, it depends on where we come from. The language is part of us and it describes us. We learn words and slang in school and high school. There are reasons why we don´t understand some words in the same language. For example, if some foreign from Argentina come to Costa Rica, maybe he said some word that we don´t know and vice versa. People feel ashamed when someone laughs about our language, but they don´t have to worry about that. Accent and language are part of our identity and something that we have to keep.

Endurance test

To practice sports is a healthy activity for our body. I think that marathons or triathlons, and cycling are hard sports. People need good health condition. They have to practice every day and they have discipline at the time to eat. To be a winner, experience, motivation and goals are factors that someone needs to defeat his opponents. Play basketball, soccer, tennis, golf are sports easier than the last sports because we make less effort. Practicing sports prevents heart disease, and it makes us feel better and with good physical condition.

Identity theft

Identity theft is one of the most popular crimes today. Identity theft occurs when someone uses your identity to make an illegal action. Identity thieves obtain the information from a variety of sources: the theft of your wallet, your trash, or from credit or bank information. They use the telephone or the Internet and ask you for the information. Some tips that you have to remember are: Never throw away ATM receipts, credit statements, credit cards, or bank statements, never give your credit card number by the telephone if someone calls you and asks for this number, check your bank account monthly and call the bank if you find some mistakes and keep a list of telephone numbers to call to report the loss of an important personal Id or document.

Advertising

Companies use advertising to show something that is amazing, funny, beautiful or boring. Informational advertising is important for people that need to know some information. Emotional advertising is to make conscience or show something that is worrying, for example: when you see advertising about food, you can see something big, but you buy the product that you see and it isn´t the same. I think that is a misleading advertising because the companies show something that isn´t true. The announcement´s objective is to sell products. We have to think before buying anything, and we have to know if we really need this product because sometimes announcements are a lie.

Introduction

My name is César José Retana Jimenez. I´m eighteen years old. I study computer engineering. This is my first year and my third quarter in ULACIT. I live in Guápiles with my grandparents. I have to take a bus four days to go to the university per week. My family is my brother, sister and parents. My hobbies are to use the computer and play video games. I like cars and adventure games. I go to dance sometimes and play basketball is my favorite hobby. I play with my uncle or friends. I hope to finish my major and have a great time in this course.
